This aunty is beauty, fatty, with morality, sanctity, variety and modernity. The uncles would definitely find it uncomfortable when they come and watch this aunty. This is not in a bad taste. Such is her velocity and activity. Such a multifaceted ‘aunty’ you find one to exist at least one in your colony (minus the disease). The debutant producer Munirathna has picked the right remake film for the Kannada audience. The sentiments, comedy, romance are filled in proper quantum.

This is a remake of Telugu film ‘Aunty’. There are three wayward youths - Ramkumar, Balraj and Anand.
They don’t have job. All of them are behind ‘aunty’ to marry. The society in which they are living is not giving job to do. To usurp the huge property of ‘aunty’ and live comfortably is the only intention of the trio. The three youths move out their plans but nothing works out as they expected. Aunty is pretty in even solving the problems as she has a short life. A patient ‘aunty’ is also the good wife of Ananthnag who has thought that she is dead in a bus accident. As the youths bow to the values in life the climax reaches a gripping situation. The husband carries his wife unknowingly to the hospital and in the nick of time he finds to the astonishment of his life that she is his wife. But the role of destiny has something else in store.

This is easily actress Kushboo’s film. Besides looking charming and exciting sometimes she has emoted well. Still a fine actress needs to cut down her flesh immediately. Ramkumar as the boy next door (it is actually so for him in the film with the protagonist) has given a fine performance. He looks smart, emotes well and dances equally well. Ananthnag has not much of job to do. It is the same in the case of Anu Prabhakar. Balraj has done over acting and Anand has not utilized his scope. Doddanna as money- lender is at his usual best.

The notable artist of this film is Tennis Krishna. At least half a dozen times Tennis Krishna sends the audience in the theatre in peels of laughter. Tennis Krishna has a rare disease. He cannot withstand any ‘aunties’ dressed with shortage. In his sign language he expresses his good intentions but all of them results in blows for him. A peculiar thought about comedy.

There are three lovely foot-tapping tunes from Chaitanya (L.N.Shastri) and Kalyan’s lyrics do not go unnoticed. The only villain of the film is the editing.

It is a well-done film from H.Vasu and his team. ‘Aunty Preethse’ preethiyinda santoshadinda nagutta, nodabahudaada chitra.
